Hagley Preschool uses the online ePortfolio platform ‘Storypark’ to document each child’s assessments as Learning Stories. Storypark gives families/whānau , teachers and tamariki easy and immediate access to view tamariki’s learning progress.

Each child attending Hagley Preschool has their own Storypark ePortfolio.  Parents/whānau can access, share and contribute anytime and anywhere via private network, viewable only by invited family, friends and teachers. Parents own all images and content.

​

The use of images and multimedia to record tamariki’s experiences in learning means that children do not have to be able to read in order to reflect on their progress.

​

Each child has a profile book at the preschool in which hard copy versions of their Learning Stories are kept. Tamariki are encouraged to view, share and discuss their recollections of their big achievements over time.
